what to expect
Practical Charity & Community Care
At the School of Virtue Canada, we believe that authentic Christian faith is not only taught, it is lived out, through love, service, and practical care for those in need.
As part of our charitable work, we provide practical support to individuals and families facing hardship, with particular sensitivity to immigrant families, vulnerable households, and those navigating major life transitions.
Our practical charity initiatives may include:
- Assisting families and individuals through community-based relief efforts in partnership with churches and local organizations
- Providing essential support and referrals for families experiencing financial or emotional strain
- Offering free counselling, mentorship, and pastoral care to those unable to afford support services
- Supporting outreach initiatives that address social isolation, relational breakdown, and moral distress
Through these efforts, we seek to reflect the compassion of Christ; meeting real needs while restoring dignity, hope, and virtue in everyday life.

Testimonials
Stories from the Participants
HMA 2025 was transformative, I’m a better man now. It was fun, we ate, went to the beach, learnt some deep messages from Pastor Gary and Marvelyn

I would highly recommend HMA. This ministry is highly needed and valuable. As it grows and flourishes, I believe God will continue to pour out His blessings as you continue to plug in. This investment will pay dividends for you and your marriage and family

Fantabulous! Basking in the HMA experience powered by SOV Canada. No bluff, no hype, this is legit. Location was great. God showed up mightily in our affairs. We’re hoping and looking forward to next year, because the later rain shall be greater

We would recommend HMA to other couples. Aside from the fun, there’s a lot of knowledge that’s impactful and a lot of experience that’s just rejuvenating and I don’t think any couple that has the opportunity to make it should miss it.

Our biggest take away is that we all work in progress, the more we lean into God, God will bring alignment and people our way that will spur us to the right direction. We have also had powerful relationships with other couples

Stephanie: It's hard to pick a favorite part of the retreat because there were so many. Both morning and evening sessions were impactful. I also enjoyed the games. Ugo: I’d say the breakout sessions. A lot of hard truths about what it takes to be a man.
